WINTHROP, Mass. – First-year swimmer Lily Martin was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week announced by the league Monday afternoon.

Martin took home the lone win Simmons non-conference dual meet against a tough Wellesley College team on Friday evening. Martin recorded a season-best time in the 50-fly to finish first, touching the wall in 29.68. Additionally, she posted another season-best time in the 100 fly with a time of 1:06.49.

The Sharks return to the pool on Saturday, November 12 when they travel to Biddeford, Maine for a non-conference dual meet with the University of New England at noon.
