Crew Alumnae Win Gold at 2008 USRowing Club National ChampionshipsJuly 22, 2008Regina Yopak ’07 and Malyka Ianni ’06 took home three national titles for their winning performances at the USRowing Club National Championships this weekend in Camden, NJ. Both women competed for Boston’s Riverside Boat Club, also the home training base for the Simmons Crew program.

Crew collects hardware at New England ChampionshipsMay 05, 2008The Simmons College Crew team wrapped up a successful weekend of racing in Worcester, MA. The team, along with a crowd of family and friends, traveled to the racecourse at Lake Quinsigamond to compete in the New England Rowing Championships regatta. The eights raced on Saturday, and the Fours on Sunday.

Simmons Crew Ranked Thirteenth in the NationMay 02, 2008The Simmons College crew program earned a spot in the national rankings this week, as the Sharks Varsity Eight boat was ranked thirteenth in the nation, according to the US Rowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Coaches Division III poll (CRCA).

Sharks Shine at Malden Spirit RegattaMay 01, 2008Simmons Crew wrapped up a morning of round-robin style racing on Saturday April 26th on the Mystic River. The team traveled to the Tufts University boathouse in Malden, MA, to race Smith College, Wellesley College, and Tufts.

Simmons Crew earns top rankingApril 14, 2008The Simmons College crew team continued its terrific season over the weekend performing well at Lake Quinsigamond. The race marked the Simmons Crew team’s first ever competition in the Donahue Cup invitational regatta in Worcester, MA.

Simmons Crew Turns in Solid EffortApril 07, 2008The Simmons Crew team raced on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, MA on Saturday, where they raced Connecticut College, Franklin Pierce, Clark University, and Amherst College. Simmons participated in all five events, and consistently came out on top, placing first in every event.

Crew Team Opens Season on a HighMarch 31, 2008The Simmons Crew team opened its season early Saturday morning racing against Radcliffe College on their home course. Two Simmons varsity fours took on one Radcliffe Lightweight boat on the 2000-meter course.
