Foster was a First Team selection by the NEWMAC a year ago. The junior is one of the key contributors to the Sharks One Varsity Eight crew from the stroke seat in the boat. A graduate of Avon High School, Foster helped the Simmons 1V8 earn NEWMAC Boat of the Week honors for the week of April 6-12 after helping the squad win the Clark Invitational on April 12 with a time of 7:08.2. One of the strongest rowers on the team, Foster moved to the stroke seat later in the season. The Captain contributed to Simmons' seventh-place showing to open the season at the 35th Annual Textile River Regatta in Lawrence, Mass. with a time of 22:40.9 on October 5. Bennett is a first year with the Sharks and has raced with Simmons' top varsity eight in all but one regatta. The pair also helped the crew capture third place at the Donahue Cup on Saturday, April 11 and 10th place at the Quinsigamond Snake Regatta with a time of 16:20.05 on October 11. In addition, the duo also helped power Simmons to a third-place finish at the Seven Sisters Championship with a time of 16:07 on October 26. Bennett has been outstanding for the Sharks' program and the Nursing major serves as an example of how to successfully balance academics and athletics. The Owen J.
