Belanger, Bolduc, Corning and Matt Named to 2015 NEWMAC Women's Rowing Academic All-Conference Team

BOSTON, Mass. - Simmons College juniors Allie Belanger (Blackstone, Mass.), Jill Bolduc (Methuen, Mass.), Rachel Corning (Ipswich, Mass.) and senior Laura Matt (Fairfax Station, Va.) were named to the 2015 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference Women's Rowing Academic All-Conference team, it was announced by the league.

BOSTON, Mass. - Simmons College juniors Allie Belanger (Blackstone, Mass.), Jill Bolduc (Methuen, Mass.), Rachel Corning (Ipswich, Mass.) and senior Laura Matt (Fairfax Station, Va.) were named to the 2015 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference Women's Rowing Academic All-Conference team, it was announced by the league.

Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale after the 2014 fall semester, achieved second year academic status at her institution and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.

Belanger, Bolduc, Corning and Matt have all competed for the Sharks' top Varsity Eight crew this season. Bolduc and Matt will compete for the One Varsity Eight at this weekend's NEWMAC Championships hosted by Clark University on Lake Quinsigamond in Shrewsbury, Mass. on April 25. 

Belanger, Bolduc and Matt were named to the NEWMAC Academic squad last year as well.
