Bobby Looney begins his first year as an assistant cross country coach at Simmons in 2023.  

Looney comes to Simmons after five years as the head coach at Boston Prep.  Under Looney, the Phoenix started their MS track and field program in 2018 and won the MCSAO state championship in just their fifth year in 2022.  Looney also served as the Associate Athletic Director and a sixth and seventh grade math teacher while at Boston Prep.

Looney received his bachelor’s degree from Boston College and a Master’s in Education from Boston University.  He is currently pursuing his second Master’s degree, in sports psychology and counseling, at Boston University.
