Four Runners Post Personal-Best Times at NCAA Regional Meet

BRUNSWICK, Maine – Simmons cross country saved their best for the NCAA Division III Regionals 6K race on tough course and under rainy conditions, Saturday morning. The top four Shark runners posted personal-best as they crossed the finish line.

Junior Sarah Giuliano clipped five seconds off her collegiate-best mile time. In process, she managed to clip 15 seconds off her previous personal-best 6K time, crossing with a time of 28:17.3.

Right behind was first-year runner Justine Paragas, who as the season progressed has seen immense improvement on the course. She clipped another minute from her personal-best, finishing with an overall time of 28:40.3.

Five seconds off Paragas' pace was junior Molly Guinivan, who also clipped a minute from her lifetime-best, crossing with a time of 28:59.0 – eight tenths of a second ahead of Emmanuel's Kate Elliott. First-year runner Kaylah Schnitzer rounded out the quartet of Sharks to post personal-bests, running a sub 30-minute 6K for the first time this season, finishing in 29:39.1
