Cross Country Sends Four to Regis Pre-Conference Championship Meet

WESTON, Mass. – A quartet of Simmons cross country participated in the Regis College Pre-Conference Championship Meet on Saturday morning.

Competing in the 800-meter race, first-year Albina Abatkyzy led the Sharks with a time of 3:00.24 - .36 seconds ahead of fellow first-year runner Kaylah Schnitzer. Schnitzer, who posted a personal-best time at last fall's NCAA Regional Meet, finished the 800-meter with a time of 3:00.70.

Junior Sara Hornak placed 15th with a time of 3:17.15, while first-year Beth Pennington rounded out the Shark runners with a time of 3:26.35.
