Eusebio and Snyder Named GNAC Rookies of the Week

BOSTON, Mass. -- Simmons sophomore Greer Gilbert (Falmouth, Mass.) and junior Crystal Derosier (Kingston, Mass.) were named Great Northeast Athletic Conference Lacrosse Player of the Week and Goalkeeper of the Week, respectively, announced Tuesday by the conference. The Sharks opened their 2014 season with a 15-11 victory over the visiting Regis College Pride on Saturday.

BOSTON, Mass. ? Seventy Simmons student-athletes were recognized today for their excellence in the classroom as the the Great Northeast Athletic Conference announced the All-Academic Team for the 2013-14 academic calendar year.

BOSTON, Mass. -- The Great Northeast Athletic Conference announced its 2012-2013 All-Academic team Monday afternoon, honoring 757 student-athletes from 13 full-time and 12 affiliate member institutions that have maintained a 3.25 cumulative grade point average, completed at least one full season of competition at a GNAC institution and is of sophomore status academically.

BOSTON, Mass. -- Simmons soccer sophomore Alexis Eusebio (Dartmouth, Mass.) and tennis first year Emmy Snyder (New London, N.H.) were named Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookies of the Week announced Monday by the conference. 

BOSTON, Mass. -- Simmons Soccer senior Kristyn Heuslen (Manchester, N.H.) and sophomore Briana Hayes (Manorville, N.Y.) were named Great Northeast Athletic Conference Player of the Week and Goalkeeper of the Week, respectively, for their outstanding play in the Sharks victory over Albertus Magnus in the conference quarterfinals.

BOSTON, Mass. -- Simmons soccer sophomore Alexis Eusebio (Dartmouth, Mass.) and tennis first year Emmy Snyder (New London, N.H.) were named Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookies of the Week announced Monday by the conference. 

Eusebio helped the Sharks to a 1-1 week, scoring the first goal for the Sharks off a header in the team's 4-1 win over Emerson. Eusebio also had two shots and one assist in the Sharks loss to Suffolk. The Sophomore forward is now tied for third on the team in goals and tied for first in assists. 

Snyder helped the Sharks post a 9-0 GNAC victory over Mount Ida College last week, posting a 2-0 individual mark out of the #2 and #4 positions, respectively. She won her singles match in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0 and then teamed up for an 8-0 sweep in doubles play.
