Simmons Soccer received the National Soccer Coaches Association of America College Team Academic Award for the 2007-08 academic year. The award is given annually by the NSCAA to programs with a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

The Sharks boasted a team GPA of 3.37, and were recognized along with 226 other women's programs from all divisions. Emerson College was the only other Great Northeast Athletic Conference team to receive the award.

"I am proud to see Simmons on this list once again," said Head Coach Erica Mastrogiacomo. "These young women deserve to be recognized for their ability to balance such a rigorous schedule of studies, training, competition and part-time employment. It is impressive."
