WESTWOOD, Mass. – Senior Samantha Merrow and junior Stephanie Mead were named NEWMAC Academic All-Conference announced Wednesday afternoon.
Merrow and Mead were two of 126 student-athletes from all seven NEWMAC rowing programs to earn academic all-conference honors. At the NEWMAC Championship regatta, Merrow was named to the All-Conference Second Team along with junior Dalila Marzialo.
To receive the honors, student-athletes must meet the following criteria: earn a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale (or a 4.35/5.0 scale) after the fall season, be a second year in academic status, and a member of the Varsity team for the entire season.
