Merrow, Marzialo Receive All-NEWMAC Second Team Honors; Rowing Competes at NEWMAC Championship Regatta

WORCESTER, Mass. – Simmons rowing senior captain Samantha Merrow was one of two rowrs named to the NEWMAC All-Conference second team announced following the Championship Regatta on Saturday morning.

Joining Merrow on the All-NEWMAC second team was junior Dalila Marzaialo, who was seated in the eighth seat in race. As a team the Sharks clipped a second off their time last week at the Donahue Cup, posting a time of 8:07.98, while collecting 15 total points.

Defending national champion, Wellesley College claimed the title for 10th time in 11 years and a chance to retain their national championship earned the NEWMAC's automatic bid into the 2023 NCAA Division III Championship at Camden County Boathouse in Pennsauken, N.J., May 26-27.
