Rowing Excels on Merrimac River at the 2022 Textile River Regatta

LOWELL, Mass. – Simmons rowing was back in action on the Merrimac River competing in two events at the Textile River Regatta on Sunday.

The Sharks Women's Open 8+ boat claimed the gold led by coxswain Emma Jones. The crew of Dalila Marzialo, Samantha Merrow, Heid Poarch, Julia Comfort, Nora Foglia, Fiona Hagberg, Olivia Murray and Solmi Kwak crossed the finish with a time of 21:44.601.

Simmons also competed in the four-boat Women's Open 4+. Led by first-year Nora Foglia in the coxswain's seat, the Sharks placed second with a time of 21:56.527 – just 16 seconds outside of first place in the division.
