Simmons University Athletics is participating in Giving Tuesday on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, an international holiday celebrted the Tuesday after Thanksgiving with the idea that being thankful for what you have is a great reminder to consider supporting an organization that makes a significant impact to the student-athletes at Simmons.
This year marks the 50th Anniversary of Division III. The NCAA members voted on Aug. 6, 1973, to reorganize into three separate divisions. Beginning with 240 member schools and conferences, today, Division III is the NCAA's largest division with 433 active institutions and 44 voting conferences.Every gift to Athletics empowers our students by helping them develop their skills, pursue their passions, and support their educational journey.
"Our student-athletes are remarkable individuals," says Simmons University Director of Athletics & Recreation Erica Schuling. "They meet challenges head on, working with their dedicated coaches to stay conditioned and prepared for their next opponent, whether that be in the pool on the court, the river or the field. All while maintaining excellence in the classroom achieving the highest academic honors and being valued members of the University and Boston community."
