BRIGHTON, Mass. – Simmons tennis (1-2) picked up its first win following a convincing 6-3 win over Suffolk University (0-1) on Wednesday afternoon.

The Sharks came out of the gate strong sweeping doubles. First doubles tandem of Emilie Lapointe and Julia Perconti jumped in front of Caren Urbano and Rachel Hill early, taking a 5-2 advantage. Fucillo put the icing on the cake pulling out her first collegiate career singles win, getting the best of Angela Gross in fourth singles (6-4, 6-3).

Lower in the line-up, Parsons was strong to start, shutting out Alex Kickham in the first set then pulling out sixth singles with a 6-1 win in the second set to give the Sharks a 4-0 lead, at the time.
