Tennis Selected Third in GNAC Preseason Coaches Poll

WINTHROP, Mass. – Heading into the 2023-2024 fall campaign, Simmons tennis was chosen third in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) announced Thursday afternoon.

Receiving a total of 16 points, the Sharks welcome four incoming first-years to the squad this fall. Last year the team earned its second consecutive trip to the GNAC semifinals after knocking out the University of St. Joseph (Conn.), 5-0, in the first round of the tournament. 

Defending champion Colby-Sawyer is slated to finish first with 23 points, including three first place votes, while Regis was second with 21 points and two votes for first.

Simmons opens the season tomorrow, Friday, September 1 hosting Roger Williams University at 3:30 p.m.
