WINTHROP, Mass. – Coming off their highest finish since 2016, Simmons tennis was selected third in the 2022 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Preseason Coaches' Poll announced Friday afternoon.

Receiving 36 points, the Sharks welcome three newcomers to a veteran team this fall and a team that posted a 7-5 record, including a 5-1 mark in GNAC action. Rising junior Olga Zhizhin, who earned All-GNAC First Team honors returns, while her doubles partner and All-GNAC Second Team selection Leah Bonis returns for his senior season.

Simmons begins the season on Thursday, September 1 on the road against Roger Williams at 4 p.m.
