Tennis Earns ITA All-Academic Team Honors for 10th Consecutive Year; Seven Receive Scholar-Athlete Accolades

Full ITA All-Academic Team and Scholar-Athlete Release

BOSTON – Simmons tennis earned 2021-22 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team recognition for the 10th consecutive year announced by the ITA Wednesday afternoon.

In addition, seven members of the 2021-22 squad received ITA Scholar-Athlete honors, including a pair of first-time recipients. This year's ITA Scholar Athletes are Sarah Mariski, Leah Bonis, Samantha Margolin, Libby Weed, Megan McKeever, Avery Halloran and Emily Lopez.

To be eligible to secure ITA All-Academic Team accolades a program must have a team grade-point average of 3.2 or higher on a 4.00 scale. Simmons and Regis were only two GNAC institutions to receive the honors.

For individuals to receive ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition, they must be a member of the team in good standing and have a grade-point average above 3.5 for the current academic year.
