Sharks junior Margaret Teague (Manchester, N.H.) was named the 2012 GNAC Tennis Player of the Year for her impressive 5-0 record in the conference this season at #1 singles. Her tenacity and consistency paced Simmons throughout the fall. She partnered with freshman Meghan Cokely (Haverhill, Mass.) at the #1 doubles position and the duo did not disappoint, finishing with a 5-1 record in the conference.

Meghan Cokely also received top honors Monday, as she was named the 2012 GNAC Tennis Rookie of the Year. Cokely went undefeated in the conference at #3 singles with an impressive 5-0 record and only dropped two matches all season to finish with an overall singles record of 11-2.

Both Teague and Cokely were also named to the 2012 GNAC Tennis All-Conference First Team Singles and Second Team Doubles, while senior Sabrina Salmela (Beverly, Mass.) and freshman Rachael Downey (Groveland, Mass.) each received Second Team Singles honors.
