Sharks Remain Perfect in GNAC

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Simmons tennis team won all 96 games as they defeated the Albertus Magnus Falcons 9-0 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play on Tuesday afternoon in New Haven.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Simmons tennis team won all 96 games as they defeated the Albertus Magnus Falcons 9-0 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play on Tuesday afternoon in New Haven.

Simmons swept all three doubles' matches 8-0 before winning each singles' match with a pair of 6-0 sets.

Sabrina Salmela (Beverly, Mass.) and Rachel Downey (Groveland, Mass.) led the way for Simmons with wins in singles No. 1 and No. 2 after winning the No. 1 doubles over Albertus' Na'Tasha Mesidor and Sandybell Anorga.

The Falcons (1-5) will host the College of New Rochelle on Friday beginning at 4:00 p.m. in their next match-up, while the Sharks travel to the ITA tournament on Friday and Saturday.
