Simmons secured first place with an outstanding undefeated conference record of 8-0 and overall record of 10-3. The Sharks were 2008 and 2009 GNAC Champions and have entered the tournament the past two seasons in the top seed in the tournament.
Emerson has earned a second place finish with a conference record of 7-1. The only loss the Lions had suffered this season was to GNAC rival Simmons, where they battled the Sharks but came up short in the 6-3 loss.
Emmanuel earned their third place seeding with a conference record of 6-2 and an overall record of 12-2. This is the highest seed the Saints have ever placed entering the tournament, therefore earning themselves a home seed in the quarterfinals round of the tournament. #1 Simmons and #2 Emerson will have a bye in the Quarter Finals and go straight to the Semi Finals.
The #4 Johnson & Wales defeated Suffolk University yesterday to move on to the semifinals on Saturday. The #3 Saints were victorious over #6 Mount Ida to take the final spot in the semifinals.
