Simmons Tennis Victorious Over Clark

WATERVILLE, Maine ? Simmons tennis increased their eight-match winning streak to nine when they defeated NESCAC foe, the Colby College Mules, 7-2 in non-conference play on Monday afternoon. BOSTON, Mass. -- Simmons tennis defeated Clark University 7-2 Friday afternoon, with a sweep of the doubles matches in preparation for the NCAA tournament in two weeks.

BOSTON, Mass. -- Simmons tennis defeated Clark University 7-2 Friday afternoon, with a sweep of the doubles matches in preparation for the NCAA tournament in two weeks.

Gaby Suriano defeated Sabrina Salmela (Beverly, Mass.) in the number one position 6-1, 6-3 and Lauren Ziemer defeated Heather Rotti (Clinton, Mass.) in the number six spot 6-4, 7-5. Allison Bodek (Lynnfield, Mass.) defeated Sarah Sachs 6-1, 6-0 and Andree Sime (Bradenton, Fla.) beat Julia Bergeron in straight sets. Rachel Sweeney (Norfolk, Mass.) and Kristi Mielbye (Hanson, Mass.) each came away with a win to give the Sharks their thirteenth win of the year.

Simmons returns to action this afternoon against Springfield College at 12:00 p.m.
