Simmons freshman Margaret Teague (Manchester, N.H.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the GNAC announced on Monday.

The honor follows a week in which Teague won her collegiate debut playing #1 singles at Mount Ida. She also added a win at #1 doubles. Teague finished the week by winning her #2 singles match vs. Albertus Magnus.

"Margaret has had a great start to her collegiate career," said Head Coach Bob Rauseo. "Despite limited practice time due to injury, she still managed to have a fantastic first week. She showed poise and confidence playing in the #1 position, which is impressive for a freshman."
