Sharks #1 in GNAC Preseason Tennis Poll

Simmons Tennis tops the 2010 pre-season Great Northeast Athletic Conference tennis poll, the GNAC announced on Thursday. The vote follows a 2009-10 season in which the Sharks won the GNAC Tournament for the fifth time in six years, and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, the furthest the Sharks have advanced at NCAA?s, before falling to #1-seeded Amherst College.

The Suffolk women's team ranked second trailing Simmons by 10 points. Rounding off the top six are Emerson with 49 points, Emmanuel with 45, Johnson & Wales with 38 and finally St. Joseph's of Connecticut with 27.
