Tennis Captures Colby, 6-3

Simmons Tennis was swept by non-conference hosts Wheaton College, 9-0, during Saturday's opener for both squads at the Clark Tennis Courts. Both teams competed in the 2010 NCAA Tournament, but the Lyons got the best of the Sharks on the day. With the loss, Simmons drops to 0-1 overall, while Wheaton advances to 1-0 on the season. Powered by a doubles sweep, the Simmons tennis team topped Mount Holyoke College 6-3 this evening at the Mount Holyoke Field House. It was the Sharks? fifth consecutive win and their first over the Lyons since the 2007-08 season.
