That impressive conference record earned them a second place finish in the conference, and the second seed in the tournament. Their strong efforts this season also earned them the no. 25 ranking in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's latest poll for the Northeast Region.

The Sharks entered the GNAC tournament as the second seed, and picked up a win against Johnson & Wales in the semifinals, before dropping a hotly contested 5-4 match to top-seeded Suffolk in the conference final.

Senior Alex Yudelevich (Houston, Texas) was the GNAC player of the year this season and was a big reason for the Sharks success. She was one of four players to earn conference honors this season.

Senior Kendra Currier (Worcester, Mass.) joined Yudelevich on the first team all-conference squad, while Dominika Hudcova (Malden, Mass.) earned second team honors.

Freshman Maile Macleod (Carlsbad, Calif.) was named the conference co-rookie of the year.

The Sharks are hoping to build on this year's success and get themselves back to the top of the GNAC next season.
