Simmons Downs Framingham State, 74-39

Simmons Basketball is gearing up for another season under Head Coach Tony Price, who is beginning his ninth year at the helm of the program. Last season, the Sharks finished in 8th place and qualified for the Great Northeast Athletic Conference tournament, their 6th straight appearance. The team had many new faces and it took time for the team to develop cohesion, which at times resulted in inconsistent play. However, the Sharks made a serious run at the tail end of the season, winning 5 out of their last 7 games to qualify for the postseason. The team hopes to use this strong finish to prepare for 2008.

Simmons Basketball defeated Framingham State tonight, 74-39, at home at the William J. Holmes Sports and Fitness Center. The Sharks advance to an 8-4 record, while the Rams fall to 6-8.
