Simmons Basketball conducts youth clinics

The Simmons College basketball team took time away from the busy season last week to give a little back to the community. The Sharks conducted a pair of instructional clinics for aspiring young hoopsters in Randolph and Quincy last week.

Each session was a total success as the Sharks, and along with Head Coach Tony Price had nearly 100 girls at each clinic. In Randolph it was the fourth appearance for Simmons, while in Quincy it was their first, which made the turnout even more remarkable. "Conducting the clinics is more than just basketball and giving back," Price said.

"We have an obligation to go out into the community with a hands on approach and make a difference. The team and coaching staff are privileged to be in the positions we are and it's our intent to inspire the future generations that one day they to can be in the same situations by making wise decisions and going after their goals, with passion."
