Simmons Receives AVCA All-Region Accolades

BOSTON – After becoming the second Simmons student-athlete to earn GNAC Player of the Year honors, graduate senior Chelsea Simmons was selected to the AVCA All-Region squad announced late Wednesday afternoon by the coaching organization.

Finishing the season ranked ninth amongst national leaders in triple doubles, Simmons registered four on the season, while also to tallying 13 double-doubles. In addition, the Newton, Massachusetts native was one of three Sharks to earn All-GNAC first team accolades, averaging 5.09 assists per set and registering 204 kills on the season.
