WINTHROP, Mass. – Defending Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Champion Simmons softball was picked first in the North Division in the 2024 GNAC Pre-Season Coaches Poll announced on Thursday afternoon.
Coming off its first conference championship and NCAA Regional Championship Game appearance in program history, Simmons received a total of 99 points, including 11 first place votes. The Sharks look to continue to building upon their success under veteran head coach Brook Capello, who is entering her ninth season at the helm.
Simmons opens of the 2024 campaign on Sunday, March 3, beginning a slate of 10 games in Florida against Neuman University and Aurora University.
