Eleven Members of the Softball Program Receive Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete Honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Eleven members of the 2023 defending GNAC Champion, Simmons softball team earned 2022-23 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete recognition announced Tuesday afternoon. The Sharks were amongst 8,300 student-athletes, across all divisions, to receive the honors.

To be eligible for the Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete recognition, student-athletes need to achieve a 2022-23 grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Leah Connor, Piper Kinney, Emery Kreidel-Reimer, Shannon McMahon, Trinity Payne, Jordyn Rubin, Emma Soule, A.J. Swett, Emma Thacher, Chelsie Trask, and Abby Viggiano all received the the honors the past academic year.

Additionally, as a team Simmons was one of 125 programs to earn Easton/NFCA Team GPA honors, posting a 3.502 grade-point average for the academic year.
