WINTHROP, Mass. – First-year outfielder Teagan Buckley garnered Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week honors announced by the league Monday afternoon.

Posting a .526 batting average (10-19) with a 1.346 OPS (.737 SLG%, .609 OBP), Buckley helped guide Simmons to a 3-3 week, which included the Sharks first win since 2019 against Emmanuel College on Wednesday evening. In their second game against the Saints, Buckley registered a career single-game best, going three-for-three with a double and an RBI. She closed out the week, going four-for-six, with two runs scored, a triple and two RBI on the road against Elms College. She is currently riding a five-game hitting streak since going three-for-three against Emmanuel.

Simmons returns to the field on Saturday, April 22 when they host Norwich University for a GNAC North Division doubleheader. First pitch slated for 2 p.m.
