WINTHROP, Mass. – Senior right-hander Maddie Castigliego earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Pitcher of the Week honors for the second time this season, announced Monday afternoon.

Over the course of a four-game week against non-conference Gordon College and Brandeis University, Castigliego registered a 4-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio, fanning 17 opposing batters, while walking just four. Against a tough Brandeis squad, the Bristol, Rhode Island native fanned seven Judges. It was the second time this season, Castigliego recorded seven or more strikeouts.

Simmons returns to the diamond on Wednesday, March 23 when they host Eastern Nazarene College for a doubleheader. First pitch is slated for 5 p.m.
