Plummer Becomes Ninth Shark To Earn NFHCA All-Region Accolades

BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Senior defender Emily Plummer became the ninth Simmons field hockey student-athlete to be named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-Region squad announced on Monday. Plummer was named to the NFCA All-Region second team.

Coming on the heels of her second All-GNAC second team selection, Plummer appeared in all 16 games, helping the Sharks to a 10-6 overall record, including an 8-3 mark against conference opponents. Making a mid-season move to back she helped anchor the Sharks defensive line and ignite a six-game win streak to help Simmons clinch the fourth seed in the post-season tournament. Over the course of the season, Plummer registered four goals and two assists for 10 points, including scoring the game-winning goal in a 4-1 road victory against UMass-Dartmouth.
