Gagnon Named NAC Field Hockey Rookie of the Week

BOSTON, Mass. -- Simmons Field Hockey first year Jenna Gagnon (Waterville, Maine) was named North Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Week for the second time this season announced Monday by the Conference. 

Gagnon played an important role in a 2-0 conference week for Simmons, scoring two goals and handing out an assist. In the Sharks 3-2 win over Lasell, the first year scored a goal and assisted on the game-winner with less than eight minutes remaining. She followed that performance with the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over Thomas College on Saturday.

Simmons is now 9-7 overall and 3-3 in the NAC with three conference games still to play. The Sharks host Colby-Sawyer on Wednesday, Oct. 23 followed by a weekend a home against New England College on Saturday and Husson University on Sunday.
