Gagnon Named NAC Field Hockey Rookie of the Week

BOSTON, Mass. -- Simmons first year Jenna Gagnon (Waterville, Maine) was named the North Atlantic Conference Field Hockey Rookie of the Week announced Monday by the conference.

 

Gagnon, who finished her first collegiate week with two goals and three assists, led the Sharks to a 2-1 opening week with a 6-0 win over Becker College, a 3-0 loss to nationally ranked MIT, and an overtime win over WPI. Gagnon assisted the game-winning goal against WPI.

 

"Jenna had a great first week of collegiate field hockey. With her strong work ethic and determination on the field, she will no doubt be a big contributor to the program.  I am thrilled to see her already making an impact on the field," said head Coach Amanda Maxwell.

 

The Sharks continue their season on Tuesday, Sep. 10 in their home opener against Regis College at 7 PM.
