Nine Sharks Named to NFHCA National Academic Squad

BOSTON, Mass. -- Simmons field hockey had nine student-athletes make the 2011 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Collegiate National Academic Squad for Division II announced Monday. The National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2011-12 academic year.

The National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2011-12 academic year.

Caroline Bishop (Natick, Mass.), Courtney Cappadona (Foxboro, Mass.), Aslyn Dindorf (Fryeburg, Maine), Kelly Fisher (Yarmouth, Maine), Mercedes Godin, (Essex Junction, Vt.), Sasha Reilly (Wilmington, Mass.), Michaela Sangillo (Gray, Maine), Katelyn Tighe (Easton, Mass.), and Kelly Williamson (Natick, Mass.) all received the honor.

The Sharks also earned the Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Collegiate National Academic Team Award with a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher.
