Jen Robertson has been named the Simmons University Director of Sports Medicine, as announced today by Simmons Director of Athletics, Ali Kantor. Robertson's philosophy of being knowledgeable, personable and approachable will be a perfect fit for Simmons Athletics. She will provide medical coverage and oversight for all varsity sports while also serving as the primary liaison between team physicians and the Sports Medicine Department.

Robertson brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Shark's Sports Medicine Department as she has worked at the Division I, Division II, and most recently Division III level throughout her tenure as an athletic trainer.

Prior to Simmons, Robertson served the last eight years as the Head Athletic Trainer at St. Mary's College of Maryland working primarily with Men's and Women's Lacrosse, Men's Basketball, Men's Soccer and Volleyball. She served as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for one year prior to being promoted as the Head Athletic Trainer.

The Apalachin, NY native spent the first four years of her athletic training career at Binghamton University, Le Moyne College and Loyola University Maryland. She also spent five years as a member of the U.S. Women's National Team Handball (2005-09), traveling to Canada, Mexico, and Europe for competitions.

Robertson holds a National Athletic Trainers' Association certification and is also a certified Graston Technique Provider.
