Full GNAC Academic All-Conference
WINTHROP, Mass. – Seventy-five Simmons University student-athletes were amongst 1,360 of their Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) peers to receive 2022-2023 GNAC Academic All-Conference accolades released by the league on Thursday afternoon.
Lacrosse led the way for the Sharks with 20 student-athletes, while field hockey and soccer were right behind with 12 and 11 players, respectively. Additionally, for the second straight year soccer finished the academic year with the highest GPA in the department, posting 3.74 in 2022-2023.
To be eligible to receive the academic honors a student-athlete must be a second-year or higher and participate in a GNAC-sponsored sport, while maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25, or higher, on a scale of 4.00.
