Simeonidis Snags GNAC Setter of the Week Recognition for the Third Time

WINTHROP, Mass. – For the third time this season, junior setter Kat Simeonidis snatched Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Setter of the Week announced by the league, Tuesday afternoon.

Simeonidis guided the Simmons to a 3-1 week, which included a perfect 3-0 mark against GNAC opponents, registering 109 assists, seven kills, six aces and a pair of block assists.

Early in the week in a 3-0 win over Dean, she hit .500 tallying four kills on six assists with just one miscue while tallying eight digs and three aces. She closed out the week pacing the Shark offense with 31 assists in a 3-0 win over defending champion Johnson & Wales on Saturday morning. In the Simmons afternoon match against Elms, Simeonidis tallied 30 assists, while notching seven digs.  

Simmons faces a tall task as they return to the hard-court on Thursday, October 13 hosting last year's regular season champion Rivier University at 7 p.m.
