Volleyball Drops Non-Conference Match To Regionally-Ranked Babson

WELLESLEY, Mass. – Simmons volleyball (12-6) dropped a non-conference decision to regionally-ranked Babson College (18-5) in three sets, 3-0, on Tuesday evening. 

The Sharks kept pace with the Beavers in the first set, before being edged out 25-20. Babson increased its hitting in the second and third sets, posting a .281 and .292 attack percentage, respectively to seal the match. 

Reigning GNAC Rookie of the Week sophomore Claire Conners led the Shark offense with nine kills, while going up for a block assist alongside senior Krissy Lloyd late in the match. Junior Sydney Iannantuono followed up with six kills as sophomore Kat Simeonidis paced the offense with 21 assists and Jordan Hacker added 15 defensive digs.
