BOSTON, Mass. -- Simmons Volleyball extended their win streak to three with sweeps over the Lasell College Lasers, 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-17) and the Albertus Magnus Falcons, 3-0 (25-13, 25-14, 25-14) in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action Friday evening at the Holmes Sports Center. In the middle game, the Lasers topped the Falcons, 3-1 (21-25, 25-14, 25-22, 25-12).

Simmons 3, Lasell 0:

The Sharks were led by senior Rossi Fish (North Attleboro, Mass.) and sophomore Nicole Alberghini (Northborough, Mass.), who hit .318 and .304, respectively. First Year Andalyn Duke (Litchfield Park, Ariz.) registered 27 assists, while Megan Chamberlin (Milford, Mass.) buried four service aces in the match. The Lasers Kathy Cameron hit .333 and Heather Longley added four kills, while Anna Feeter posted 10 digs in the loss. After a fast first game, the Sharks came back from a seven-point unanswered run by the Lasers for the 25-20 win. Simmons took an early lead in game three but the Lasers clawed back to within two points, 16-14. Alberghini ignited the Sharks offense with four kills to lift the Sharks to a 25-17 win.

Lasell 3, Albertus Magnus 1:

After dropping the first game, 21-25, Lasell came back to dominate the next three games. Sharisse Scott-Rawlins threw down a game-high 15 kills with just four errors for a .306 hitting percentage. Cameron added 11 kills with one error on 19 attempts to hit .526, a season best. Anchoring the Lasers defense was Jordan Seid with 20 digs and Alyssa Nahigian picked up 36 assists on the night. Falcons sophomore Amber Cohens hit .143 and Melissa Manning added 12 kills in the loss.

Simmons 3, Albertus Magnus 0:

In the final match of the night, the Sharks spread out the offense with five players hitting over .250. Fish lead Simmons again with nine kills and just one error on 16 attempts, while Kat Guillotte (New Bedford, Mass.) added five kills on 14 attempts for .286 hitting percentage. Duke carried the weight in sets with 25, while Chamberlin and Alexandria Itasaka (Bradford, Mass.) controlled the Sharks defense with nine kills apiece. The Sharks took a commanding lead in game one for the 25-13 win but the Falcons stayed close in game two through the opening 19 points. The Sharks began to pull away with four straight points before closing out game three, 25-14.

With the wins, the Sharks move to 7-18 overall and 4-1 in the GNAC, while the Lasers move to 11-10, 3-2 GNAC and the Falcons fall to 9-9 overall and 1-5 in the conference.

The Sharks return to action on Monday, Oct. 14 in more GNAC action when they host the University of Saint Joseph at 4:00 PM. The Falcons travel to Rivier on the same date, while the Lasers travel to Anna Maria on Oct. 15.
