Sharks Split at GNAC Tri-Match

BOSTON, Mass. -- Simmons Volleyball defeated the Mount Ida College Mustangs 3-2 and fell to the Raiders in four sets by scores of 25-12, 25-16, 24-26 and 25-15.

BOSTON, Mass. -- Simmons Volleyball defeated the Mount Ida College Mustangs 3-2 and fell to the Raiders in four sets by scores of 25-12, 25-16, 24-26 and 25-15.

In the second game, the Raiders carried the momentum from their first match of the day into the final match against Simmons. Kenna Finlayson was the team leader with 19 kills while Emily O'Reilly contributed with 32 assists.

The Sharks had a nice outing from Raeann Nesta (Niantic, Conn.) and Kyla McCabe-Corrow (Madbury, N.H.). Nesta paced the offensive with 12 kills while McCabe-Corrow had 17 assists. Chanel Thomas (Phoenix, Ariz.) had 14 digs in the loss.

Rivier, now 18-9 overall and 10-1 in GNAC, will return to the floor on Monday night as they travel across town to battle Daniel Webster College. The Sharks (15-13, 6-3 GNAC) return to action on Tuesday, October 23rd at GNAC rival Emmanuel College at 7:00 p.m.
