2012 GNAC Women’s Volleyball All-Conference Teams Announced

BOSTON, Mass. ? The Great Northeast Athletic Conference has announced the 2012 All-GNAC Women's Volleyball Teams and major awards following the completion of this weekend?s championship.

BOSTON, Mass. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference has announced the 2012 All-GNAC Women's Volleyball Teams and major awards following the completion of this weekend's championship.

Simmons senior Caroline Boyd (Wilbraham, Mass.) and freshman Raeann Nesta (Niantic, Conn.) each received Second Team All-Conference honors and senior setter Rachel Dufault (Westport, Mass.) was named to the All-Conference Third Team.

Boyd averaged 2.09 kills per set and posted 67 blocks on the season, while Nesta led the Sharks offense, posting 3.15 kills per set and adding 104 blocks. Dufault was the Sharks primary setter, recording 740 assists to bring her career total to 2,134. Dufault was also named to the 2012 GNAC Volleyball Sportsmanship Team and Boyd received All-Tournament Team honors.

The Sharks finished their 2012 campaign with an overall record of 19-14 and 9-3 in the GNAC. Click here to view the full list of All-Conference Teams.
