Simmons senior Volleyball captain Amanda Weaver (Eaton, Ohio) has been named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for her excellence in last week's competition for the Sharks, the conference announced on Monday.

Weaver led Simmons to a 3-1 record at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational tournament after a loss to UMass Boston earlier in the week. Weaver made the UMD All-Tournament team while helping to lead the turnaround for the Sharks program. Weaver tallied 115 assists, two service aces, and 22 digs in 5 games this week.

"Amanda is playing like a true senior captain," said Head Coach Jason Conetta. "Her leadership skills and physical ability is an honor to watch on the court. This senior captain has helped develop this offense into one of the strongest in the GNAC. It has been an honor to coach Amanda thus far."
