Simmons Volleyball Defeated By Salve Regina, 3-0

The Simmons College volleyball team fell to Salve Regina, 3-0, by scores of 25-19, 25-18 and 25-21 on Monday evening. With the loss, the Sharks fall to 4-5 overall.

The Simmons College volleyball team fell to Salve Regina, 3-0, by scores of 25-19, 25-18 and 25-21 on Monday evening. With the loss, the Sharks fall to 4-5 overall. 

Junior Amanda Weaver (Eaton, Ohio) continues to lead the Sharks this season, Weaver was credited with 19 assists in the match.  Sophomore middle hitter Taylor Pederson (San Antonio, Texas) registered four kills, one solo and one assist block.  Freshman Meaghan Flynn (Laguna Beach, Calif.) who ranks among GNAC leaders in hitting percentage (.369, 4th) and kills per game (3.53, 2nd), tallied a team high eight kills, while also adding seven digs and six service aces.  Sophomores Chelsea Smith (Manchester, N.H.) and Nicole Loring (Derry, N.H.) combined for 26 digs.   

The Sharks return to action on Saturday, September 27 when travel to Nashua, N.H. for a tri-match with Daniel Webster and Caselton at 10:00 am/12:00 pm.
