Coach Anne Forsythe is entering her seventh year at the helm of the Simmons Softball program after taking over the program in June of 2008.

Under Forsythe's guidance, the Sharks have been one of the most successful programs in the region. She is the program's winningest coach with a 139-93 (.599) record, including a 98-46 mark in conference play for an impressive .680 winning percentage.  The Sharks have posted 22 or more wins in each of her last five seasons and are just one of two teams in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference to make that claim.

In addition, Forsythe has taken Simmons to the playoffs every season she has filled out a line-up card, including 2014 when the Sharks won three straight games, including two in one day to advance to the league championship game.  The championship run capped a 27-win season for the most in her career.

During her tenure, Forsythe and her players have been recognized on the national and regional level. She earned the GNAC Coach of the Year award in 2011.  In addition, her program has produced a total of 12 National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region honorees, including a pair of First Teamers, while also seeing 22 players earn All-Conference status with 10 of them on the First Team.  Two players have claimed GNAC Player of the Year Honors as well as the Eastern College Athletic Conference top player accolade.  One of her players was a Capital One Academic All-America selection, while a pair of GNAC Rookie of the Year trophies also reside at Simmons.

Forsythe also served as a NCAA Northeast Regional Ranking Advisory Committee from 2011-13.

Forsythe has been a staple with Simmons softball for over a decade, having served as an Assistant Coach for three seasons and as a player for four.  A former standout student-athlete, she received all-conference honors in both softball and field hockey for the Sharks. Forsythe, a transfer from Fordham University, was named the 2004 GNAC Rookie of the Year in softball. She was also a recipient of the athletic department's Coaches Award as a senior.

Forsythe also works full-time in the athletic department as assistant to the director. She graduated magna cum laude from Simmons in 2005 with a B.A. in English and received her MBA from the Simmons School of Management in 2010. A native of Worcester, MA, Forsythe currently resides in Derry, NH.
