BOSTON – After winning their first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) crown in program history, Simmons softball (25-14) was selected to the MIT Regional bracket announced Monday afternoon.
Joined by RPI and Commonwealth Coast Conference Champion, Endicott College, the Sharks will face host No. 19 MIT in their first game. Last season, the Sharks defeated the Engineers for the first time since 2016 with a 2-0 victory on April 27, 2022.
Additionally, the Sharks faced RPI last spring in Clermont, Florida falling to Engineers 8-7 on March 9, 2022.
