Hennigan Appointed to NCAA Regional Advisory Committee

Head Softball Coach Anne Hennigan, has been appointed a member of the NCAA Softball Regional Advisory Committee. As a member of the committee, Hennigan will work with five other representatives to select and rank the top teams in the Northeast region on a weekly basis. The ranking will begin in late March and span the course of the season until the NCAA Division III Softball Championship in May.

Having witnessed the increased competitiveness within GNAC softball over the past 7 years, I look forward to promoting our programs and comparing them to other conferences in the Northeast."

Coach Hennigan is entering her third year at the helm of the softball program at Simmons. During the 2010 season, the Sharks posted a 23-12 (16-8 GNAC) record, the second best in school history, and a 4th place finish in the GNAC post-season tournament.
