Simmons Softball is poised to enter the Great Northeast Athletic Conference postseason tournament as the fourth seeded team. The Sharks finished the regular conference season with a 16-8 record (21-10 overall), and are scheduled to take on the Cadets of Norwich University on Friday, April 23 at 2:00pm at Rivier College's facilities.

The top four teams in the eight-team tournament each receive a bye through single elimination-- #1 St. Joseph's (ME), #2 Rivier, #3 Emerson, and #4 Simmons. Rounding out the final four spots in the GNAC tournament are #5 Lasell, #6 St. Joseph's (CT), #7 Mount Ida and #8 Norwich.
