Game One

In her third straight start for the Sharks, pitcher Courteney Collier had 7 strikeouts and gave up only 2 hits.

Rivier struck out 14 Simmons batters and Alexa Feener only let up 4 hits, but that would be enough as the Sharks won 2-0.

Simmons scored the only two runs of the game in the bottom of the 6th inning when Annie Thompson led off with a double. Emily Nalband then reached first after being hit by a pitch. That set up the heroics for Sam Green as she roped a single to right center scoring both Thompson and Nalband.

Collier shut down Rivier in the top of the 7th to seal the victory.

Game Two

Game two was another pitching dual between Collier and Monica White. Collier was the hero of the day, striking out 7 batters and giving up only 2 hits, as she pitched her 29th inning in two days.
White scattered two hits for the Sharks through 7 innings.

Simmons held the Raiders scoreless in top of the 8th. In the bottom of the eighth, Stephanie Murray started on second base. Thompson sacrificed her over to third. Emily Nalband then grounded out to the pitcher. With two outs and the winning run at third base, senior Sam Green roped a single to left field scoring the winning and only run of the game.

The Sharks end their regular season with an eighth seed GNAC Tournament spot. Simmons will travel to fifth seed Norwich on Wednesday, April 22 for a 4:00pm start time.
